From Process Map to Working System

Every Avalah implementation starts with process mapping and Odoo standard training. By the time we begin configuring, your team already understands the platform, we have a documented picture of your workflows, a clear fit-gap analysis, and an agreed plan for where to follow Odoo standard and where to extend. That preparation is what makes the implementation predictable.

How We Work

Our implementation follows a structured, step-by-step approach, where each phase builds on the previous one to ensure a consistent and predictable outcome.

  1. Configuration Based on Your Fit-Gap Analysis We configure Odoo’s core manufacturing modules, including Sales, MRP, Quality, Inventory, Purchasing and Accounting, to match your documented workflows. Where the process mapping has identified gaps, we apply the agreed approach. We use standard configuration where there is a straightforward fit and introduce targeted development only where your process genuinely requires it.
  2. Data Migration Your existing data, including product masters, BOMs, routings, stock levels, customer and supplier records as well as accounting entries, needs to be transferred accurately into the new system. We extract the data from your legacy systems, clean and restructure it where necessary, and validate it against real transactions in a staging environment before the system goes live.
  3. Workflow Setup and Testing This is the core phase of the implementation and runs alongside or immediately after data migration. With your actual data in the system, we configure the complete end-to-end workflows your teams will use, starting from sales lead and continuing through quotation, order confirmation, production planning, manufacturing, delivery and invoicing, all the way to warranty closure.
  4. Each workflow is tested by your team as it is developed. Teams walk through their real daily tasks in the system, identify what works and what requires adjustment, and we refine the setup until the process flows correctly. Before go live, we conduct at least two full rounds of comprehensive testing, covering complete business cycles across all departments using real data, to ensure the entire operation works together as intended.
  5. Integrations If your operation depends on external services, we connect them during implementation,  not as an afterthought. Pre-built connectors for services like Cargoson, Billberry, and Agrello are tested and activated as part of the project. Where custom connections are needed, we build them following the same upgrade-safe approach described on our development page.
  6. Go-Live Support We deploy a two-person team during cutover, consisting one functional consultant and one senior technical consultant working either on-site or remote depending on your setup. The goal is rapid problem-solving during the first days of live operation, while transferring knowledge to your internal team.
  7. Post-Go-Live: Hypercare and Continuous Improvement After go-live, we remain actively engaged through a defined hypercare period, monitoring system performance, resolving issues as they surface, and fine-tuning configuration based on real daily use. Once the system stabilises, we review initial results and plan follow-up improvements to address what only becomes visible after weeks of live operation.

End Result

You go live with a system that matches your processes, supports your teams, and has been tested across complete business cycles. This reduces risk at go-live and ensures a smoother transition into daily use.
